EQUIPMENT REVIEW

The way we test equipment is by tying  it out and then deciding if it is what we would use or have use for it during hunting. All will be tested fairly.

MARTIN SLAYER- It's January 2007 and deer season is over in Minnesota. This past year my hunting bow and 3D bow was a Martin Slayer with nitrous cams. It was setup at 65 pounds with a 30 inch draw. Now before I bought it I heard that the brace height was short and it slapped the wrist, well it did a few times but I put on a  STS system and that took care of any wrist slapping. I ran the bow though my chronograph and it registered 300 to 305 fps. I can live with that. The bow is smooth when drawing it back and as far as vibration I felt little or none. The bow is quite with or with out the STS system on it.  The valley was  positive.  The finish on the bow was great. Draw length changes are simple to do and you don't have to buy a different cam. The one con I have on the bow is the weight. I wish it was lighter but it might help other shooters hold on target better.  

RYTERA- I was very impressed with the Rytera. The bow was very accurate and quite. The one con with the bow is that it is a little heavy other then that, I was impressed with it. Anyone shooting or buying this bow will also like it. DeWayne JR

GRIM REAPERS BROADHEADS- I used 100 grain and again was impressed with the broadhead. They flew like a target tip and I never had one not open. I'll be using these again. DeWayne JR.

TRACER NOCKS- What can I say, buy some. They help track the arrow to the target and you can see if you hit or miss. I will use these again. DeWayne JR.

EASTON AXIS 400 ARROWS-  Impressed with this arrow. When combines with the above 2 items, what a combo you have. I will be using these again. DeWayne JR.

SCENT BLOCKER ( DREAM SEASON) CAMO. Great product, I had deer down wind of me and they didn't spook. Like the clothes and I will use these again. DeWayne JR.

LACROSSE ALPHA BOOTS- If you want to walk to your stand and not be detected then get scent free boots. These boots along with the Dream Season clothes will help you have more control over scent while hunting. DeWayne JR.
